Evergreen Marketing, Facebook Ads and Passive Income

This is the strategy that most people are most familiar with! It also has a certain amount of adoration and is often viewed as the ticket to success. It can definitely work, we have had success with it. But we have also had failures. There have been times when we made 20x returns while running Facebook ad campaigns! There are other, similar avenues besides Facebook so stay open to those too. We will say that of the four strategies we are discussing today, this is the hardest to master over an extended period of time as the platforms keep evolving. It can also be tough to get right early on and we urge you not to get permanently discouraged if you do not succeed the first time. We have continued to see various results in this area and the general advice we can offer is to have someone who handles it for you, paid ads can be a full time job! We also think that it has the biggest risk and reward potential and that it is best to be properly set up before diving into spending money in this way.

Live Launching to An Audience

We still host live launches, but admittedly less than we used to. We see loads of business owners doing it and experience a lot of success. It is not dependent on the size of the audience that you have and does not have to be time-intensive, so it is a great way to get things rolling when starting out, which is exactly what we did! We did not really know what we were doing and so we kept it pretty simple, using it to grow an email list and starting from there. We have continued to use it and if you can have realistic expectations it is quite easy to find success here. Live launches usually rely on a combination of social promo and backend emailing, all of which can be pre-scheduled to run smoothly. We see the big differentiator in this strategy as the personal touches that you can add. Really showing up for your audience in an authentic and present way can lead to big results!

Launching with Urgency or Low Stock

Emylee has used this idea a lot in her new side-business! Offering a limited amount of something, whether a service or a product can really drive sales. Maybe it is five spots you are offering in a mastermind or like Emylee, it's a small number of handcrafted jewelry pieces. This model allows you to tease the upcoming offer, the number that will be available and the time frame too. It gives the audience the message that they need to act fast and you can create a culture of customers who know that your offers are time-sensitive. There are a lot of product-based businesses that use this and we think there is definitely an argument to be made for how much money you can make with this strategy. In some cases, more than if you always have stock available! The model really suits services and hand-made goods as the time you put in is probably the biggest investment you are making.

The Power of Story!

Abagail has been using this a lot in her health and wellness biz! She realized that the strongest message she can send to her audience is of her walking the walk. She has to actively do what she is selling, the ideas that she offering need to be seen in practice. Telling an authentic and relatable story can build a really loyal following and that is why she has such high engagement with her audience. Then the question becomes, how to convert this engagement into sales! It is all about crafting the offer expertly and Abby realized she needed to meet people where they were. She differentiates herself from similar peers by offering more value ads and personality for them to connect to. These value ads and offers mean that she does not ultimately make the most on sales but is helping to grow relationships and is growing engagement by inviting others to join her on her journey. She is converting these conversations into relationships and ultimately sales when appropriate. It is not 'salesy' or sleazy, she is selling people what they already want! So everyone is happy and the conversion rates are great!
