Developing Your Offer Ecosystem
Episode 789: Show Notes
Your offer ecosystem will encompass all of your offers whether they exist now or in the future. I want you to imagine that your ideal client exists in this ecosystem. What tends to help business owners the most is to think of their ideal client as on a journey encountering problems that you’re there to help them solve. Your audience only knows what they know and you can help them on this journey in a way that’s really impactful. Your offers solve a variety of problems suitable to clients across the spectrum. Today we are going to focus on solving linear problems with clear solutions. Before you press play, grab the visual handout for this podcast episode at bossproject.com/wealth!
These linear paths offer an opportunity for you to have a wide variety of offers that all fit into a singular ecosystem. A primary offer that fits into this ecosystem is a bridge from one phase to the next on a particular client’s spectrum. In order to go from one stage to the next, the client needs the mechanics of how to get there and that is your deliverables. Any offer can deliver on the mechanics and sometimes it will completely remove the clients from having to do it themselves. Instead, you are going to take them there. Not just showing them how but rather moving them through it!

The One Thing You Need to Know in Order to Sell This Offer Easily
In order to sell this offer easily, it’s so important to establish phases that are common amongst all of your ideal clients. I want you to figure out the commonalities among all of these ideal people and what their typical journey is. Then you can anticipate the things that are going to happen along the way and figure out how you can establish key points in time when they go from one stage to the next while achieving a transformation. Knowing what that transformation is allows you to understand how you can best serve them. Your goal needs to be to solve the client’s whole problem and if you can’t then your phases are either too big or your offer isn’t big enough! To make this easy to understand, I want you to break down the journey between the stages and establish the phases. I want you to think of the various steps along the way as achieving a certain milestone in your project or program that is in alignment with the stage being completed.
The Easiest Model to Follow When Building an Offer Ecosystem
The easiest model to follow when building this ecosystem is called an ascension model. Those individual offers will be uniquely linked from one stage to the next, offering someone a clear path to follow while working with you. Typically, you’re going to go from the most DIY offer to the most ‘done for you’. Now this is not to say that their journey is complete with just you. You have to capture in your ecosystem exactly what you’re helping them with. That means that they may have done other things before they got to you and they may do other things after you and that is okay! You are simply aligning them with the thing that makes the most sense based on where they’re at.
The Place People Get the Most Stuck in Creating an Offer Ecosystem
If we think of this as a client journey, you’re probably going to go from the least expensive to the most expensive offer. But the price range doesn’t actually matter and is a whole other conversation. I am specifically talking about how you solve problems and how they link together in your ecosystem package. I think where people get the most off track is where they start desiring to create an inexpensive digital product or offer. If you aren’t solving the whole problem to get this client from one phase to the next, they are going to be disappointed and will say that they didn’t get the results that they wanted! A lower-priced product in your ecosystem may not solve a whole stage. An opt-in or lead magnet can mimic one of those lower-priced offers by solving a whole phase and can get you more clients! By giving clients a solution to a problem for free or even telling them why they need your product, you are pushing them to buy your offer!
Goals for Your Ecosystem and How I Can Help You Achieve Them
The goal of the offer ecosystem is not to create infinite possibilities. Offering specificity is very beneficial because, as I said, people will have journeys before and after you, so where you take care of them on that journey is what matters! When we are talking about creating core offers, the ecosystem should have some sort of connection and an ascension model is definitely the easiest to follow to achieve that connection.
