The Month We Reached $100k in 45 Days on Our Evergreen Funnel

Welcome back to the podcast all you beautiful business unicorns! Today we are doing the monthly round-up and recap of July and we’ll be looking forward to August, so jump on board with us as we take this fun ride. We will mostly be talking about the funnels we have implemented and these helpful changes that we made to our website that have continued to improve our engagement and sales. We will carry on implementing more funnels as time goes on but mapping these ones out and seeing the positive results has been so exciting that we could not resist sharing these successes with y’all!
As our business has grown it has become more and more complex to understand and map the journey our customers and new visitors make within it. It is, as always, vitally important to have a handle on these dynamics and it is always exciting to understand what efforts yield results and where you may be able to improve. It’s so invigorating to see how these funnels impact our programs and we can’t wait to see the growth in sales continue into the future! At times reflecting like this can be be tricky or difficult and we may not alway give ourselves a fair review, but please remember how important it is! When we see the numbers across the last few months, it makes it all worth it!
Choosing Funnelytics to Map Out the New Funnels
We chose to use Funnelytics as the framework for implementing these funnels. Even though there seem to be a huge amount of different options out there this seemed like it would do the job. We did not want to get too caught up in finding the perfect funneling tool and waste time and energy on that! We would recommend it but feel free to shop around and find the right one for yourselves. We basically just needed to see what was going on in our email and as we grow more and more specialized as a business and as individuals, it is easier and more natural for us to start handling different sides of our work, according to our strengths. With these sort of exercises and measurements we like to give things a try and see what the results are. It allows you to see if this type of advertising improves efficiency, effectiveness and gives you the results you’re after. Trial and error is a great way to grow in many instances!
An Overview of the Website Changes We Made
One of our main goals going into July was to introduce our masterclass into more visible spaces. This meant more advertising and funneling across our website and social platforms. Although this can be a continual process, we started with the simple and subtle changes that could be accomplished immediately. The measures we have taken so far has resulted in enhanced funneling towards this masterclass and we have already seen the results! Yay for us! Another goal we laid out was to increase and improve onboarding and customer service. This meant making it easier for new people to join up and get involved. This was another area where we saw marked improvement. We outlined a new advertising strategy and finding that sweet spot between fresh and familiar, growing yet stable has been something we have aimed for. We wanted deeper and more specialized ads that targets our specific brand and audience. While this was certainly a balancing act, we believe we’ve accomplished what we set out to do. We have now also just set up two new affiliate relationships and there will be plenty more info on this coming soon. Boy, are we excited!
Accomplishments That We Noted During the Month
During July we set up a brand new peer to peer mastermind! Although we did do this once before, this kinda felt like the first time. We knew there were so many ways we could improve on that first trial run. It’s such a huge step and we can hardly contain our excitement!
More hands on deck and better expertise means that we are almost sure it will be a roaring success over time and so far things are looking good. We’ll definitely have episodes in the future dedicated to facilitating a mastermind and take a dive deeper into this topic but for now we can say that we are super stoked to have implemented this! We also said yes to a trip and if you know us, you know that this is huge. We have done way more travel this year than previously and are so excited about who we may meet and hang out with this time around. Unlike in the past, this is not conference or a speaking gig. Our coach has invited us to a smaller more intimate mastermind and we are so grateful! Also we get to meet our bookkeeper, Parker, which is something we have been dying to do for ages. So, shout-out to Parker and see you soon! Another accomplishment we have to mention is related to our ever growing team. July we gained two new members and as we have been noticing, it gets easier every time. This is mostly due to our documenting and standardizing the process. Remember to do this - Your future self will thank you!
Mindset Towards Money and Leveling Up To Be Able To Scale a Business
And now for the biggest announcement, we hit our goal of creating a 100k funnel! In just over a month we managed to funnel in 100k and we are overjoyed, surprised and excited. TBH, It also feels a bit weird and surreal. This huge step means so much to us and as excited as we are we have to reflect on the way we think about it because our mindsets really need to be more receptive to this progress. We need to be able to take this step and be ready for the next one. Believe us when we say that this is one of the most difficult things either of us has ever done and your attitude towards money and growth is so important that we cannot understate how much attention it needs. Your current relationship with money and value effects everything! July was by far our largest revenue month without a launch and we tripled our income from last July and other non-launch months. This is definitely something to adjust to but also celebrate! Things are really looking up around here! Our engagement numbers are also rising and student sign up has increased. Podcast downloads are also on the up and our active email contacts is at an all time high of over 12 thousand. Positive stats all round!
Upcoming Goals for August and Beyond!
Even with all this growth we can still see the recent spikes and lulls that occur in our statistics and are still trying to get fully to grips with why exactly this happens. Obviously we want to minimize the lulls and double down on what is making our business boom. This is the last thing to think about and we do not want to diminish of what has been a great success! We have new sales goals and we are definitely going to be work on adjusting our money mindset so that we are in gear for our next stage of growth. This means intentionally seeking out helpful content and tools and focusing on how to improve and foster a strong mentality. Abagail will be attending the Global Leadership Summit. Last year that led to some really huge progress and we will be hoping for something similar, this time around. So much to look forward to! We know it can sometimes be difficult to look back over what might not be completely successful, but as we have shown you today, using stats and really getting down and dirty with the numbers can show you just how successful you have been!
