Introducing the Product Powerhouse Summit
Episode 310: Show Notes
Hello again, you guys! Guess what? It’s time for another summit! In November 2018 we launched our very first summit and it was amazing. We started thinking about how we could improve on our already-spectacular event and came up with the idea of focusing on a very special portion of our audience because there seems to be a lack of resources for this type of business owner. The upcoming summit, called Product Powerhouse Summit, is aimed at all the product-based babes and those aspiring to step into the retail market, whether you have your own boutique or want to introduce e-commerce to your website.
Just to lay it all out there, it’s 100% free to attend! Simply head over to the Boss Project Summit website to claim your complimentary ticket. We’re going to have about 25 speakers over three days, from April 9 –11th. You are going to get 24 hours free, which would allow you to watch almost all of the speakers. The best part of it all? It’s all virtual! As long as you have an Internet connection, you can access it through your phone, iPad, or on your desktop, and you don’t even have to be wearing pants! So stay tuned for the breakdown of the exciting topics you can look forward to!
The Amazing Benefits of a VIP Ticket
Just a heads up: There are going to be a few breakout sessions where you’ll have to pick between sessions, which means that you’ll miss out on some amazing content. That’s why we highly recommend that you upgrade to the VIP ticket, which will give you life-long access to all the sessions, an entrance into a mega giveaway PLUS access to unlock a secret Freebie Vault with loads of additional stuff. If you buy your VIP ticket now, you get it for the pre-party price of only $47!
Day 1 – Standing Out: Marketing and Selling Your Product
There are so many hot topics on the agenda for this year’s summit. Jenna Murillo is talking to us about how you can solve a problem for your client so that your product serves a purpose, making it much more sellable. We’re hearing from Eli from Toki Matts about vulnerability as a marketing tool, about the pros and cons of having a niche business from Shanae Jones from Ivy’s Tea Co. and our friends Kerry and Caroline from Creative Biz Rebellion share about the things you have to keep in mind before opening up your shop. On Day 1 we’re also learning from Jake and Becca Berg from Dubsado about standing out in a crowded space. Their branding and business knowledge is outstanding, and they share about their first-hand experience from when they started their software business and how they went from being unknown to unforgettable. Then we have Tracey Matthews from Flourish and Thrive Academy and Creatives Rule the World, and brands like Hand Lettered Design and Studio 78 Podcast.
Day 2 – Go Social: Grow a Following and Launch Your Shop
The speakers for Day 2 come from such diverse backgrounds and guide us on different social media channels. The most unexpected one might be YouTube, and Beatrice Agy from Beela Balm talks to us about turning subscribers into buyers. Our friend Melissa Megginson from Tailwind explores the untapped potential of Pinterest for product peeps, and then we get to Instagram – the one platform we all care a lot about! But how do you turn an engaged audience into one that wants to buy the things you talk about? Maura Hughes shares about MeetEdgar, recycling content and serving people effortlessly. Our gal pals Gemma and Rachel talk about either dropshipping or leveraging your inventory in-house in two different conversations, both of them totally rocking the option they’ve gone for. We hear more about SEO and AdWords from Meg Casebolt from Megabolt Digital and our sisters from Black Girl Curls are coming to share on monetizing your digital clientele.
Day 3 – Scale Up: Create Community and Sustainability in Your Profits
Day 3 is going to be all about scaling up as a physical products-based business, for people who are forward thinkers, and those who want to continue to stand out and grow their community. The super fun duo from The Product Boss are Amazon experts who are going to be teaching us about growing your product-based business in creative, alternative ways. A good friend Jordan from Jordandené is talking about creating community over competition in your niche and bringing people together. Kathleen Cutler shares about maximizing your profits and the secrets she’s learned from selling antique diamonds online. She’s excellent at selling high-end products in a space where trust is low. Another conversation we can look forward to is with Shunta Grant from Because of Zoe who started off selling hair bows but diversified to allow for a more flexible lifestyle. Our conversation with her is in a Q&A format where she also shares about the specific milestones that were fundamental to her business development. We hear from Kristin Wilson about planning and marketing your product launches gracefully and she really breaks down the seemingly daunting process of product launches.
Why You Should Join Us Live
A cool feature about this summit is that we’re asking speakers to tune into the live chat, and then someone from our team is going to be hanging out in the comments, answering your questions. If you can, make the time to come live with us. There’s so much power in community and sharing ideas among like-minded people and even opportunities for the most wonderful friendships to develop.
