Steal This Strategy — 4,587 New Subscribers in Under 120 Days
Nurturing an email list takes time, and while it will absolutely get you business, cold subscribers will take time to warm up and actually start purchasing from you. But this is a long-term strategy that adds to the stability of your business. Even though attracting subscribers is the topic of discussion for today, I’m going to tell you something controversial: it’s not where I would start when opening a small business! Instead, it’s something I would continue to invest in over time, but it won’t get you that initial attraction.
Get Paid to Build Your Email List (Yes, Really)
Want more leads and more revenue? This strategy lets you get paid to grow your email list.
In this episode of The Strategy Hour Podcast, Abagail Pumphrey shares how she’s built a thriving hybrid business using low-ticket digital offers that turn strangers into subscribers—and subscribers into high-paying clients. Discover how to get paid to grow your email list, why most small businesses are stuck with limited capacity, and how to create a scalable offer ecosystem that brings in qualified leads ready to buy. You’ll learn the exact strategy that helped Abagail turn a $29 product into over $250K in revenue, plus why Digital Product Jumpstart is the key to creating a funnel that converts. Whether you sell templates, coaching, or digital courses, this episode is packed with actionable insights to help you stop relying on slow lead gen—and start getting paid for building your list.
Starting a Business without a Single Follower
On this episode of the Strategy Hour Pocast, I want to dig into how I would start a business if there’s no existing audience — how I would get off the ground, how we would get momentum, how I would create a community of people who are actually listening to what I have to say and how I would make real tangible dollar bills as early as possible in the process. But before we get into the strategies, I just want to say that I have never met someone who actually has no audience.
How I’m Prepping My Business to Run Without Me (For 7 Days)
Last August, I joined a leadership course, and now we’re all going to the UK together. I’ve known for almost a year now that I am going to be gone for a week, and while I wanted to spend a ton of time preparing my business, I’m 10 days out and realizing that I need to get it together!
I think we all enter a time in our business where we are excited about stepping away but don’t want to drop the ball. So I’m going to share how I’m (realistically) making it happen for myself and how you can too.
Showing Up Mid-Shift & Getting Consistent with Your Content
Are you evolving in your business but struggling to show up and bring your audience along for the ride? In this live coaching session, I sit down with Latoya Shanell, CEO and Principal Event Strategist of L’ Shanell + Co., to tackle the visibility challenges that come with shifting from corporate clients to serving small businesses.
Latoya runs an events company producing both small- and large-scale events, primarily for corporate clients. Now, she’s looking to expand her reach and work with more small businesses. In our conversation, we dig into what it really means to show up and how to bring people with you as your business evolves.
I definitely gave Latoya some tough love, but it’s a powerful reminder for anyone who feels stuck when it comes to showing up online. If you want to be more visible but don’t know where to begin, this episode is full of practical ideas to get you moving. I can’t wait to see what you do with them!
Doing Less Than You’re Capable Of – A Conversation with Jo Espejo on the Branded Impact Podcast
In this powerful crossover episode from the Branded Impact Podcast, Abagail Pumphrey flips the script as guest and dives deep into personal branding, business bandwidth, and knowing when to pivot or quit. Tune in as Abagail and Jo Espejo explore how to build a brand that reflects your authentic self, why doing less can actually lead to more sustainable growth, and the secrets to designing a business that aligns with your life — not the other way around. A must-listen for creative entrepreneurs, service providers, and small business owners ready to embrace clarity and impact.
Behind the Build: Why I Started 100 Day Visibility School
I am posting for 100 days in a row on social media, and I am putting out content that is meant to help people grow their visibility, their followers, their email subscribers, or their buyers. I specifically wanted to put this out into the world so that I could also grow my own list, with the goal of adding 10,000 subscribers in 100 days. Now, this episode is the full behind-the-scenes, why I decided to do it, how it’s different from my 100-Day LinkedIn experiment, and why I’m scared out of my mind. But I’m confident this is exactly what I’m supposed to be doing.
Why Dreaming Small is the New Power Move
I’m sure you’ve heard “go big or go home” before. But what if the real flex was going small and staying home on purpose? I used to chase more because I thought that more was always better, and it almost completely broke me. Today, I’m going to help you reframe success and show you why dreaming smaller might actually lead to more money, more impact, and a life you can’t wait to wake up to!
I’m Writing a Book—and It Might Be the Dumbest Smart Thing I’ve Ever Done
For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to write a book! It feels weird to say out loud, but I know that by sharing this with you, I will also hold myself accountable and publish this thing. I’ve had a few books stewing around in my brain for a few years now. But, after taking a swing at a partnered brand deal a few years ago and deciding it wasn’t the right fit for my first book, I’ve been a bit deflated. But people like Justin Moore, who wrote Sponsor Magnet, and Jay Clouse, whom I hosted for a super inspiring conversation and is in the throes of writing his own conversation, have helped me to reconsider. Let’s get into it!
The Future of Search: SEO vs LLM Optimization with Sam Dunning
In this episode of The Strategy Hour, we're diving into the future of search with SEO expert Sam Dunning. As AI tools like ChatGPT and Google's LLM-powered results reshape how people find answers, Sam shares why SEO still matters—but only if done right. We unpack when SEO is worth the investment, how to avoid the "traffic trap," and how to use high-intent keywords, brand mentions, and speed to your advantage. Whether you're trying to stand out in zero-click search results or build a future-proof content strategy, this episode is packed with practical, no-fluff advice you won’t want to miss.
My 100-Day LinkedIn Experiment: My Growth Strategy
I’m 28 days into a 100-working-day LinkedIn experiment, and I’ve already learned so much! In this episode, I break down exactly what I’ve done so far: how I updated my profile to attract the right audience, how I’m structuring my posts for engagement, what type of content is actually landing, and how I’m coming up with fresh ideas daily without burning out or overthinking.
I also share the unexpected wins that came from simply showing up, from weekly podcast invites to new genuine relationships, a 16.8% bump in followers, and over 21,000 impressions. I haven’t gone viral, but that’s kind of the point. This is about building sustainable visibility, not chasing quick hits.
