Launch Simply in 2021

If there’s anyone that knows a thing or two about launching, it’s us. In the past 5 years we’ve been in business, we’ve launched more times than we can count with a multitude of different products and services as our business transitioned and grew.

During the different seasons of our business, we’ve had big launches, small launches, and everything in between, so we’ve also picked up on how to do it without being so stressed. We think the number one important thing about launching is that it’s fun and simple. Otherwise, who the heck would ever want to launch anything?

So, today, we’re going to share with you a little about our plan for launching simply, and show you our little secret for making launching even easier.

Get Clear on Your Thing

Whatever it is you’re going to launch, you should get clear on some important questions first. This will help with your marketing strategy because you won’t just be throwing together social content, ad copy, emails, sales page and other materials, etc.. Instead, you’ll know exactly what you should be saying and who you should be saying it to. Some questions to ask yourself are:

  • What are you offering? (Of course)

  • Why are you offering it? Why right now?

  • Who needs your offer? Who doesn’t?

  • What are your potential clients’ or customers’ 3 biggest objections?

  • What 3 ways will it improve or impact their lives/business?

  • Why are you the right person to offer this?

Outline Important Dates

When are you going to launch this thing? Know your cart open dates, and then plan your pre-launch content around that. What we like to do is also create what we call “primer” content. This content doesn’t count as pre-launch content because we haven’t actually announced what we’re launching yet, but it works to get them in the right headspace for when we do launch. Usually, we’ll post primer content for a week or two, announce the thing and post pre-launch content for a couple of weeks, and then our actual launch content.

Your dates could look different depending on how big your launch is. For example, if we’re having a launch for one of our main products, like Strategy Academy or The Creative Template Shop, we’ll run a free challenge beforehand to build a list of engaged people. So for that, we would have primer content for the challenge, pre-launch and launch content for the challenge, and then post-launch content for the paid offer we hype up at the end of the challenge.

Know the dates you’re going to post content on your social platforms, when you’re going to send emails, if you’re running Facebook ads, know when those will start and end, etc.

Create Your Materials

This is the fun part. Write your emails, social content, build your sales pages, intentional blog content, etc. This is where you build all of the moving pieces that will come together to make your launch wonderful.

This is also where we’re bringing in our little secret for making this process quick and easy. In The Creative Template Shop, we’ve created the Ultimate Launch Bundle. It includes:

  • Square and Story Canva templates to create launch graphics

  • Leadpages templates to build your opt-in and sales pages

  • Launch Planner that we actually use for launches

  • Instagram Story Sales Sequence Canva templates to make showcasing your offer easy and beautiful

Psst.. If you’re a Dubsado lover, we also have a version of this bundle with our Dubsado templates!

You’ll have your most important materials done quickly, easily, and seamlessly! All you have to do for any of our templates is just change the colors to match your branding (if you choose), add your words and images, and voila! In one day, you could have your materials built and crossed off your list.

This bundle is $297 in The Shop, but you could grab it right now for only $47/month by becoming a member! Not only will you save $250, but you’ll have instant downloadable access to everything else in The Shop. It’s a win-win situation!

Get Your Tech Together

How are you going to process payment for your thing? What site are you going to host your product on? Is this offer so big that you need to build a sales page? Get the tech side of things figured out, then test it as if you’re a potential client or customer. Is it easy to purchase? Are you getting all of the important info you need about the thing in the first ⅓ or half of the sales page?

Test everything. Click the links in your emails to make sure they’re pointing to the right place. If you’re adding a link in your Instagram bio, Linktr.ee, or something similar, make sure it’s working properly.

Launch!

Don’t worry about this being perfect. Launching is all about trial and error, analyzing your results, and tweaking what needs to be tweaked for the next time you re-launch it. And, yes, you can re-launch it! We have a new launch for the same products at least once a year.
